This project involved the reconstruction of the lanes on 2300 West, both on the North and South sides of the 2100 North intersection, alongside the addition of an acceleration lane on 2100 North Westbound. This posed several challenges. One of the primary objectives was to ensure that travel lanes remained accessible in all directions throughout the construction phase.

To achieve this, careful planning and coordination were essential. Traffic management strategies were implemented to guide drivers safely around construction zones while maintaining effective flow. Minimizing disruptions for local residents and commuters was a critical focus, with various phases of work planned to allow for optimal lane usage at different times of the day.

The complexity of this project required collaboration between engineers, construction crews, and traffic control personnel. Regular updates and communication with the community played a vital role in managing expectations and providing necessary information about detours and lane closures. Overall, the successful completion of the reconstruction aims to enhance both safety and travel efficiency at this busy intersection.

This design was developed in collaboration with Eagle Mountain city and Kenny Seng Construction to incorporate a water line crossing SR-73 at Six-Mile Cutoff Rd. Due to the presence of oversize material beneath the road, boring was not a feasible option. As a result, the installation was completed using an open cut method.
